Also, a heads-up for North Carolina drivers: Beginning October 1, NCDMV is moving away from annual license plate registration stickers as part of its transition to electronic vehicle registration. You’ll still need to renew your vehicle registration and meet applicable requirements, but you won’t receive the familiar annual sticker for your tag. So, if something looks a little different at renewal time, don’t worry—it’s part of the new process.
